Speaker Processing Card for MTRX Base Device

The SPQ Speaker Processing card allows the optimization of connected monitors, cues and subwoofers. It allows precise calibration of the monitoring environment and adjustment of the room for mixes of various formats including immersive audio such as Dolby Atmos. Configurations can be stored in presets and recalled. Fine tuning is done using up to 1024 IIR filters on 128 channels (up to 16 filters per channel).

The SPQ - Speaker Processor card is mounted in one of the eight slots of the MTRX base unit. The SPQ card has no physical inputs or outputs, as it is a pure processor card. It provides filters for channel-based speaker equalization and bass management. The management and adjustment of the knobs and switches is done in the DADman control software. SPQ presets are stored in the Pro|Mon monitor profile in DADman.

Frequency analysis is performed with a separate measurement program, it is not part of the SPQ and Pro|Mon functionality. The correction curve is then set manually using the filters.
