Moog Subsequent 25

The Moog Subsequent 25 is a Monophonic or Duophonic Analogue Keyboard Synthesizer with 25x Keys, which is close to the sound of the Subsequent 37 and combines the clearly arranged Control Panel of the Sub Phatty.

Classic Moog

2x Analogue Oscillators with cross-fading Waveforms and the popular "Moog Growl" including Hard Sync, a Sub Oscillator and the Noise Generator are at the heart of the Moog Subsequent 25. The first sound-shaping instance in this Synthesizer is the Mixer, which adds Harmonic Distortion from the middle position upwards and thus modifies the Waveforms accordingly. The likewise Analogue Low-Pass Filter (transistor loader) can be switched between 6, 12, 18 and 24dB and has its own Distortion parameter, which allows a wide range of sound changes from soft to hard. 2x crisp ADSR Envelopes of the Subsequent 25 are dedicated Filters and VCA.

Playability

The almost self-explanatory operating concept of the Subsequent 25, together with the Velocity-Sensitive and After-Touch Keyboard form a successful unit for playing rousing Basslines and Lead Melodies. 16x Memories are distributed over 4x Banks of 4x Pre-Sets each. In Panel Mode, all current settings are queried, which makes the Subsequent 25 behave like an Analogue Synthesizer without memory locations: you get what you see.

Shift Mode

Users of the Subsequent 25 are still advised to take a look at the Operating Instructions. They describe in detail all Global Settings and especially all Shift Functions, which significantly enhance the Instrument's functionality. Envelope Triggering, settings for the LFO like Range, Waveform Modulation Target and Tracking, Monophonic/Duophonic playing, but also the number of Filter Poles (1-4 at 6dB each) can be switched here.
