The Core 7 is a DSP-controlled near-field monitor with two paths. Dynaudio's own soft dome tweeters and MSP (Magnesium Silicate Polymer) woofers are used as drivers. Both are Dynaudio's trademark products, which have found many fans over the years because they produce a very accurate stereo image.

The integrated digital signal processor allows sound adjustment that goes far beyond that of conventional analog circuits. The entire spectrum can be tilted more towards treble or bass (Bright/Dark) or played back linearly via a tilt filter. Two times three presets are also responsible for adjusting the sound to different positions in the room (Free/Wall/Corner) and workstations (Anechoic/Desk/Soffit).
