Moog Model 10 Modular

Moog Model 10 Reissue

On request, Moog Music is meticulously handcrafting a faithful recreation of Bob Moog's first compact synthesizer. When it was launched in 1964, the view of music and sound changed forever. It became possible to build new sounds from fundamental components without coming up against the limits of classical acoustic instruments. Musicians, composers, artists and researchers began to explore the possibilities of the new device and created completely new musical styles and sound worlds that are still unexplored today.

Features

  • Handmade, modular analogue synthesizer

  • Uniquely penetrating sound

  • New power supply for operation at 100V, 120V, 220V and 240V

  • 1x 901 Voltage Controlled Oscillator

  • 1x 901A Oscillator driver

  • 2x 901B Oscillators

  • 1x 902 Voltage Controlled Amplifier

  • 1x 903A Random Signal Generator

  • 1x 904A Voltage Controlled Low Pass Filter

  • 1x 907 Fixed Filter Bank

  • 2x 911 Envelope Generators

  • 1x CP11 Console Panel

  • Dimensions: 45.72 x 63.5 x 24.13 cm (WxHxD)

  • Weight: 22,67 kg

Housed in a sturdy Tolex wooden cabinet, Model 10 features a total of 11 analogue modules including the 907 Fixed Filter Bank, known for its enormous sonic possibilities, and three 900 Series Oscillators, which are the foundation of Wendy Carlos' Switched-On Bach and Isao Tomita's Snowflakes Are Dancing.

As the precursor to the Model 15, the Model 10 focuses on pure sound, speed and ease of use. It opens up a grandiose depth of sound that only a vintage Moog modular system is capable of.

Each Model 10 is built with the same craftsmanship and methods as the originals 50 years ago. Each individual module is assembled and soldered by hand, then tested, screwed onto the aluminium panel and installed in the instrument.
