A monophonic vintage synthesizer whose Vacuum Tube Synthesis, based on vacuum tube circuit modelling, captures the crunchy, warm sound of the analogue era.

Vacuum, also known as Vacuum Classic, was originally created for the Creative Collection included with Avid Pro Tools and invites you to dive deep into subtractive synthesis in the style of the 70s and 80s, for basses, leads, pads or unique sound effects. Two vacuum tube oscillators with four wave shapes that you can morph between feed a mixer with drive and ring modulation, followed by high- and low-pass filters with their own saturation control. The Age function with Drift and Dust adds oscillator drift, crackle and slightly inaccurate keyboard triggering for an authentic hardware feel. Two envelopes, an on-board arpeggiator and presets by sound designers Richard Devine and Mark Ovenden complete the instrument.
