Stage Piano combines four piano models: the Yamaha C7, the Steinway D, a Bechstein upright and the Workstation model taken from the Xpand!2 library, whose harder attack and brighter top end recall classic synthesizer workstations. You control dynamics, age, lid position and hammer mechanics as well as attack and release, while separate pedal parameters adjust sustain resonance, hammer falls, staccato release and soft pedal for natural expression on stage or in the studio. The built-in effects section with Flavor timbre control, EQ, compression, reverb and delay can turn the sound shimmering, dark or spacey when required. According to AIR, the instrument can also be unlocked on Akai MPC and Force standalone hardware.
