A virtual electric piano that combines five legendary electric pianos from the 60s and 70s into one versatile instrument.

Velvet is based on the Fender Rhodes Suitcase, the Fender Rhodes MK I and MK II Stage Pianos, the Wurlitzer 200A and the Hohner Pianet-T, and uses dynamic modelling, a combination of optimised sampling and modelling techniques, to recreate the sound, response and nuances of each original. You can adjust timbre, dynamic response and velocity curve, mix in pedal and mechanical keyboard noises, and use Vintage Mode to match the timbre to the sound of classic recordings. A preamp with tube overdrive, compression and a 3-band EQ with parametric mid, plus distortion, wah/filter, chorus, flanger, phaser, tape delay, Ambience, Spring and Room reverbs, tremolo and autopan shape the sound, while 350 presets from AIR’s sound designers offer a quick start.
