NEU-W495 captures the sophisticated character of the original 1970s module, combining transparent high-end detail with the thick, musical low end that defines vintage analogue tone. Selectable frequency points for each band and smooth proportional-Q curves offer precise, musical control that makes it ideal for mastering and mix bus work – whether you want to open up vocals, tighten the bass or add air and definition to the mix. The hardware that inspired it was designed to meet the strictest German broadcast standards, became a benchmark for high-fidelity equalisation thanks to its natural sound and consistent channel matching and was used in mastering consoles and mobile recording rigs for decades; Antelope Audio modelled one of the earliest versions.
