VEQ-4K Black is a vintage four-band EQ originally found on the channel strips of iconic British consoles of the 1980s.

The black version is likely the most popular variant of this EQ module and was designed following the recommendations of many of the world’s top audio engineers. It offers a louder EQ with ±18 dB of cut and boost and a steeper high-pass slope of 18 dB, and the LF band can optionally be switched to a bell curve. In its four variations, the VEQ-4K series has left its mark on numerous records across all genres, and the original consoles are still in use in top-tier studios today.
