VMEQ-5 is modelled on a classic midrange EQ of the past 60 years and adds true vintage punch to guitars and vocals, whether you are tracking, mixing or mastering.

Human hearing is especially sensitive to the midrange, where most of the human voice sits – and this is exactly where VMEQ-5 works, handling everything between 300 and 5000 Hz. With two peak bands for boosting and a separate dip band for cutting, it gives vocals, synths, lead guitars, snare drums or woodwinds the analogue punch they need, and on a full mix it cleans up a murky midrange. The original dates back to 1955 and was refined in 1961 with extra frequencies and a tube gain stage, and it has been a studio classic for over 60 years.
