BAE-10DCF is an official model of a multi-purpose compressor classic that delivers clean, transparent compression, colourful vintage dynamics processing or straight-up limiting, ideal for drums, vocals and guitars.

BAE-10DCF combines a fully independent compressor and a separate limiter, each with its own Threshold, Ratio, Bypass Filter, Attack and Recovery controls, plus a Gain Make-up knob for extra level control. The Bypass Filter, inspired by the B182 card of the 1073, uses a Carnhill inductor and acts as a smooth, musical sidechain filter for the compressor, extending the unit’s use to mastering. Two automatic, programme-dependent recovery settings (A1: 100 ms for isolated peaks, 2 s for prolonged levels; A2: 50 ms and 5 s) tailor the response to any genre, rescue your mix bus, add urgency to pop and hip-hop vocals and make rock guitars jump out of the speakers. The original combines the compression specs of the Neve 33609 with the Class A amplifier stage of the Neve 2254, and Antelope Audio has meticulously measured and recreated its Carnhill and Jensen transformers.
