Super VHS gives your tracks the authentic retro sound of the 1980s with six one-knob effects, as if they had been sampled off an old VHS tape.

Super VHS combines six colourful effects that add lo-fi authenticity to any clean sound you run through it, especially when you mix and match them. Each effect has just a single control but several parameters under the hood, allowing a fast workflow and a wide range of results. Instruments and beats end up sounding as if they had been sampled off a worn-out VHS tape.

Features

• STATIC: static noise generated by an internal synthesiser
• HEAT: analogue tape saturator inspired by consumer-grade tape machines
• SHAPE: sample rate reducer inspired by 1980s 8-bit samplers
• MAGIC: widening effect inspired by the Juno chorus, but darker and deeper
• DRIFT: pitch fluctuation LFO for unpredictable time and pitch shifting
• WASH: ‘bad hall’ reverb inspired by budget 1980s rack units
