Comeback Kid is a versatile delay plug-in that lets you sculpt the wet signal and add characterful echo colours to your mixes.

The layout follows the simplicity of the best hardware delays: there are no sub-menus, just 14 knobs for shaping the wet signal directly – from a tape delay on a lead synth to a modern slap on vocals or a crunchy lo-fi echo on guitars. Building blocks such as the 11-bit ‘Cheap’ signal path, the analogue-modelled ‘Tape’ saturation, the ‘Swirl’ phaser and the ‘Sauce’ algorithmic reverb can be mixed and matched. Off mode disables the delay engine so you can use the flavouring tools on the dry signal. The 61 presets include contributions from Mick Schultz and Anthony Saffery.
