IHNY-2 is a hard-hitting parallel compressor that adds energy to drums, mix buses and even the master bus while retaining the dynamics of the dry track.

IHNY-2 is a majorly upgraded successor to I Heart NY, Baby Audio’s very first plug-in, and hosts the parallel signal chain internally, so no extra routing is needed in your DAW. The XY pad lets you set the compression amount and the balance between dry and compressed signal in one motion. The sound is clinical and aggressive with a touch of analogue-inspired non-linearity, and also draws on the hard-hitting nature of the affordable DBX units of the 80s and 90s. The Tweak Panel adds Punch, Harmonics, Shape for the smiley EQ curve of New York compression, as well as Tilt, Attack, Release and Ratio.
