BA-1 is a modern re-imagination of a cult 1982 analogue synth that looked like a toy but sounded like a beast.

It is based on the portable CS01, which Baby Audio first modelled as accurately as possible and then carefully upgraded with a second analogue-modelled oscillator, FM and polyphony while keeping its signature sound intact. For an authentic lo-fi aesthetic you can drain the battery, bend the circuits and use the built-in speaker. The effects chain is inspired by budget 1980s rack hardware, with an overdrive modelled after a guitar pedal plus delay, reverb and chorus. Re-Gen creates new, musically tuned patches with every click.
