Multi-channel recordings of real explosions in an urban environment, created in collaboration with the sound department of EA DICE.

Most explosions in films, games and trailers do not happen on a plain field but in urban environments, where surrounding buildings shape the sound. These explosions were therefore recorded in a real urban environment – with realistic reverbs and tails instead of artificial post-production reverb; for completeness, one explosion on a plain field is included as well. Microphones at all distances as well as in front of, behind and inside buildings deliver up to 42 channels, at least 24 per explosion including a 4-channel ambisonic file, ready to mix in your DAW exactly as you want. Sweeteners for extra punch, rumble and character round off the kit.
