The 3D Surround edition of Thunderstorm Chaser offers purely natural, immersive thunderstorm recordings from six years of storm chasing across the United States.

Recorded with the Schoeps ORTF-3D array of eight supercardioid microphones, every storm is captured in full three-dimensional depth, from distant rumbles to ground-shaking strikes, without artificial layering. Beyond thunder, the collection covers the full storm environment with eerie silences before the storm, pounding rain, hail and howling winds, and every file comes with precise metadata. Whether you work in 5.1 surround, Dolby Atmos or VR, you can place the thunder exactly where you need it in the mix, and stereo versions of all files are included as well.
