The CONSTRUCTION KIT delivers unprocessed recordings of medieval melee weapons as source material for your own sound design.

For the recordings, the team travelled across Europe in search of a wide variety of weapons to slam into wood, steel and more, and also used analogous materials to recreate weapon sounds on a larger-than-life scale. Captured with Sennheiser, Sanken CO-100K and Schoeps microphones, the sounds deliver ringing steel and bass-pounding thuds in fine detail. Among other things, the collection contains impacts, deflects, equips and unequips as well as finishers, recorded in the studio or on site at armourers.
