Oud and qanun bring oriental colours and textures to the Origins series – on their own or in concord via the Multi-Arpeggio-Designer.

The oud – literally “wood” – has been the key instrument of Middle Eastern and North African traditional and popular music for centuries; as the forerunner of the European lute, it impresses with its signature sound. The qanun, a renowned Arabian relative of the zither, is famous for its unique, melodramatic sound. You can play both instruments independently or interlocked in the Multi-Arpeggio-Designer, with 90 rhythm presets and 12 colour presets as a starting point for your own ideas.
