Two eastern string instruments, the Persian tar and the Georgian chonguri, united in the Multi-Arpeggio-Designer for expressive ethnic soundscapes.

The tar’s steel strings are plucked with a plectrum, producing a very pure and defined sound that reflects Persian culture, where the instrument has existed for hundreds of years. With its tender silk strings, the chonguri from the Georgian mountain landscapes adds warmth, depth and richness. Together they merge into a new, powerful instrument with a huge variety of timbres. The Multi-Arpeggio-Designer interlocks them with two fully customisable arpeggiators; 80 rhythm presets and 12 colour presets result in over 1,000 predefined combinations.
