A 70-piece symphonic string ensemble recorded on a large scoring stage, with the full articulation palette professional string writing calls for, in a focused toolkit.

LUX Orchestral Strings Essentials uses the same recording, the same room and the same cinematic mix as LUX Orchestral Strings: captured with 48 microphones and mixed by Peter Fuchs. The scope focuses on the articulations and sections of everyday scoring – sustains, legato across the complete playable range, shorts, pizzicato, tremolo, trills and layered combinations such as sustain into tremolo, whisper into sul ponticello or staccato into pizzicato, all playable from a single instrument. The five sections from 1st violins to basses each come as a single NKI, ideal for documentaries, trailers, episodic TV, game cues, production music and sync briefs.
