A metallic sound design instrument in which every sound comes from a single multi-cut metal sound sculpture by German sculptor Klaus Gündchen.

Struck, bowed, scraped and set ringing, the sculpture produces haunting drones, shimmering strikes, ethereal resonances and metallic pulses, from delicate ambience to raw impact, captured from four perspectives: close, far, contact and an internal Blumlein pair for resonance from inside the metal. The Single instrument models the experience of playing the original sculpture and suits subtle tension cues and sparse, haunting textures, while the Engine layers five voices – two freely playable, two arpeggiators and one granular – with slot and master effects for evolving soundscapes. Mallets, rolls, bowed tones, rubber ball techniques and extended FX textures across plates and rods make it an organic source for modern film and TV scores, game environments, horror and tension work.
