Behind its straightforward interface, Imperial Delay offers far more than its front panel suggests: Drive, Feedback, Modulation, Smear, Color, Chorus and Duck can be switched on individually and edited in depth in an advanced section with its own presets. In Sync mode the delay time follows your DAW tempo including triplets; it can also be set manually from 0.1 ms to 10 s or entered via tap tempo, while six channel modes including ping-pong and an offset for the right channel create width. The Pitch function detunes the left and right channels independently for doubling and, in subtle amounts, for stereo width without phase issues. Its low CPU load lets you run several instances at once, for example for lead vocal delays, stereo widening, chorus or distortion.
