Vienna 170 Lite is based on a Bösendorfer 170VC that was acquired from the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna in 2007 and restored by European Piano Restoration. Despite its length of just 5 ft 7 in, the piano sounds astonishingly powerful, with a clean low end, robust midrange, strong attack and clear sustain. The Lite version focuses on one optimised microphone position and offers true release samples and resonance samples. This makes it well suited to mobile rigs, lean templates and fast writing sessions.
