A hot-rodded take on the classic Roland Space Echo tape echoes of the 70s and 80s, combining features of the RE-201 and RE-301 with additions of its own.

Stardust 201 precisely recreates the limited fidelity and stability of audio tape: a natural roll-off of bass and treble frequencies gives a very warm tone, while minor speed variations lend the repeats an organic chorusing quality. Turning up the intensity control overloads the circuit and produces the other-worldly runaway echoes and feedback typical of a tape echo. The features of the originals are joined by additions such as a 4x extended echo time range, a “motor kill” switch, a true-stereo BBD chorus and independent stereo tape head loops for super-wide imaging – and unlike a real tape unit, it never needs demagnetising.
