An emulation of the legendary Synthex, a rare Italian analogue synthesizer designed by Mario Maggi and built by ELKA in the early 1980s, with a thoughtfully expanded feature set.

Elka-X was modelled on Cherry Audio’s pristine vintage Synthex and captures the prized tone of its DCOs, dynamic multimode filter and stunning analogue chorus. Like the original, it is two-part multitimbral with split and layer modes, but adds 16-voice polyphony, mono and unison modes, velocity response, expanded filter and LFO functions, a much simpler four-track step sequencer and a complete arpeggiator with independent assignments for both layers. The chorus is joined by studio-quality echo and reverb with separate settings for each layer, along with chord memory, over 500 pro presets and flexible MIDI mapping.
