An emulation of The CAT duophonic synthesizer unleashed by Octave Electronics in 1976, developed in collaboration with its original designer, Carmine Bonanno.

Octave Cat retains all the growl of the hardware’s fat, savage sound and its aggressive resonant filter, along with the flexible modulation, screaming audio-range oscillator cross-mod and fierce oscillator sync of the original, which was used by acts such as Devo, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, Split Enz, The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers. The classic is extended with up to 16-voice polyphony, a second panel with distortion, phaser, flanger/chorus, echo and reverb, and a versatile dual eight-step sequencer capable of modulating numerous parameters. Sample-and-hold glide, MIDI clock sync, polyphonic aftertouch and MPE support and over 300 presets complete the package.
