Virtual synthesizer based on the Polivoks, built at the Formanta Radio Factory from 1982 to 1990 – expanded with extra filter modes, 16-voice polyphony, an arpeggiator and effects.

The heart of the Polivoks, developed by Vladimir Kuzmin, is its filter: instead of the usual transconductance amplifiers, it uses programmable op-amps, giving it a distinctively gritty, idiosyncratic sound. Atomika recreates this circuit with Mark Barton’s circuit-modelled DSP designs and extends it with Starve, Filter Drive and Amp Drive controls plus highpass, notch and peak modes. Alongside the authentic duophonic mode you can play up to 16 voices and use unison, loopable envelopes, velocity and aftertouch, while the second panel offers an arpeggiator, Phasor, flanger/chorus, echo and reverb. Panel labels can be switched to Cyrillic, and over 350 presets help you get started.
