Polymode is inspired by the groundbreaking Moog Polymoog, one of the world’s first polyphonic synthesizers, whose unique multiple parallel filter implementation and modulation routings gave it a sound like no other. The original sounded incredible but could be challenging to operate and was prone to breakdowns – Polymode sidesteps these drawbacks and greatly expands the instrument’s capabilities. With a streamlined user interface and extensive modulation options, it excels at animated, evolving string, pad and choral tones.
