Eight Voice emulates the immense sound of the Oberheim Eight Voice, one of the world’s rarest and most desirable vintage instruments, whose eight independent dual-oscillator voice modules predate microprocessor control and could be challenging to program. Voice Link controls group the settings of the voice modules, Focus buttons enlarge any section of the user interface, and flexible keyboard assign modes allow countless mono and poly zoning and layering options. The sound is shaped by synth designer Mark Barton’s (MRB) detailed emulation of the Oberheim state-variable filter, complemented by an eight-step mini sequencer and modulation delay and reverb effects.
