The official plug-in version of the MagicDeathEye tube compressor designed by Ian Sefchick, for individual tracks as well as the mastering bus.

Designed by Ian Sefchick, mastering engineer at Capitol Records, this variable-gain tube compressor has a circuit loosely based on a Fairchild 660. After almost a year of careful circuit and signal analysis, the plug-in stays very close to its hardware role model while keeping the CPU load at a reasonable level: nothing is smashed, everything breathes, and your audio is glued together in a warm and almost elegant way. Although the hardware is a mono unit, the plug-in also runs in stereo with identical gain reduction on both channels, and it suits vocals, bass, keys and just about any instrument as well as, thanks to its gentle compression curve, the master bus.
