Dreamtonics Instrument X in the 8 Essential Edition: orchestral sound synthesis with physics-augmented neural networks and a focused selection of eight instrument expansions.

Instrument X uses up to eleven concurrent microphone feeds spanning close spots, Decca tree and room ambience; through a patent-pending algorithm, physics-augmented neural networks trained on studio acoustics measured with a custom-built dodecahedral speaker array decouple the room’s directional acoustics from the dry instrument source and keep all channels phase-coherent. Smart Articulation assigns articulations automatically based on note pitch and length without complex keyswitch maps, and overlapping notes render as separate voices within a single track, so dense chords and harmonies ring out naturally. The Dynamics Lane, AI Performance Retakes, the Microphone Mixer Panel, continuous micro-tonal glides and five style instructions from Adagio to Ballade put you in control of the performance, with a workflow familiar from Synthesizer V and Vocoflex.
