Hollywood Fantasy Strings is the first part of Hollywood Fantasy Orchestra, combining string instruments from the Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque eras with modern orchestral strings for fantasy soundtracks.

Produced by Doug Rogers and Nick Phoenix, the library combines lutes, Hardanger fiddles, viola da gambas, mountain dulcimers and hurdy-gurdies with octave-doubled ensembles of modern orchestral musicians, recorded in the same studio and with the same microphone placements as Hollywood Strings. Lutes and dulcimers were recorded in trios for a sparkling stereo image that cuts through any mix, while hurdy-gurdies and massive traditional string ensembles in octaves add bombast when you need it. True legato, trills, crescendos and many other articulations, plus micro-tuning controls, let you create authentic fantasy cues for film, television and games.
