Ancient Kingdom is a virtual instrument collection of rare wind instruments from around the world, played by Lithuanian wind virtuoso Saulius Petreikis and produced by Doug Rogers and Nick Phoenix.

Alongside pristine multi-mic surround recordings, Ancient Kingdom offers four unique effects signal paths using amplifiers, vibration enhancers, metallic surfaces, distortion amplifiers, megaphones, tubes and rotating speakers, which emphasise the instruments’ attack and take them into otherworldly territory. Its 26 instrument categories – from duduk, bansuri and fujara to shakuhachi and Persian ney, Viking lur, war horn and Viking voices – come with detailed articulations in the Long, Short, Effects, Legato and Keyswitch groups, with true legato intervals on the legato instruments. The interface lets you switch between three Mood presets (Classic, Epic, Soft), blend four microphone mixes (close, mid, main, surround) with four FX mixes and shape the sound with convolution reverb, performance scripts and flexible channel routing.
