Optimised for mastering, this compressor and expander handles single tracks, groups, buses and entire mixes in any format from mono up to 128 channels, including Dolby Atmos.

Used gently, gravitas MDS sounds so transparent it seems not to be there while still bringing the dynamic range into shape, and with the right settings it gives drums a pronounced punch. You get all four types of dynamics, complex curves across the entire dynamic range, separate filters for processing and level detection, limiting of gain reduction and gain increase, variable channel linking and peak mode, and the 3DET mode inspired by the famous AMEK mastering compressor. An input configuration dialog offers great flexibility, especially for multichannel signals, while meters, the amplification curve and the moving level curve show at a glance what is going on. As a master channel module in the separately available Dolby Atmos Composer, gravitas MDS handles the dynamics of all 128 channels of an Atmos mix, beds and objects alike, for mix bus compression and mastering in Dolby Atmos just as you know them from stereo production.
