A multiband dynamics processor with up to five bands that gives you full control over the processing, from simple compression to heavy parallel multiband compression.

Alchemist covers the full range of dynamics processing: simple compression tasks, more advanced de-expansion, emulation of classic analogue compression, recovering transients from an overly compressed mix and heavy parallel multiband compression. Each of the five bands has a complete dynamics section with compressor, de-compressor, expander, de-expander, the BitterSweet transient designer and M/S width control, and the bands are split by IIR crossovers with selectable slopes. A dry/wet control enables true parallel dynamics processing, while a peak limiter rounds off peaks in a smooth, musical way. The two preset/parameter slots A and B hold two complete sets of parameters at the same time, and a global preset stores both together with the position of the morphing slider.
