A lightweight parametric equaliser with twelve idealised EQ architectures in the sonic character of thEQblue – for mixing and mastering.

SantaCruzEQ recreates respected hardware equalisers as idealised digital versions without the noise, distortion and other side effects of analogue technology, and adds new designs, from vintage and modern to experimental. You choose one of the twelve architectures, ten serial and two parallel, and work with six Sections, four of which can be switched freely between bell, shelf and cut filters of different orders. As every bell filter is normalised identically at +6 dB and a Q of 0.71, the architectures can be compared directly, with differences emerging as several filters interact. Sample rates up to 384 kHz and centre frequencies up to 80 kHz also make it a good fit for high-resolution productions and game audio.
