LINpro is the final link between production and delivery, whether you are preparing a 16-bit Red Book master or a 24-bit high-resolution file for streaming services. Alongside classic first- to third-order noise shaping, four newly developed psychoacoustic curves of fifth, eighth and ninth order are available, and LINpro is one of the few dithering tools to offer a choice between rounding and truncation. According to MAAT, information down to the 19th bit of the input signal is preserved when reducing to 16 bits, and real plots generated by the engine show the effect of each noise shape. An 8-bit output also lets you hear instantly how your chosen setting sounds.
