A dedicated tool for drums and percussion that stabilises hit levels, removes leakage and ambience and shapes the envelope of individual hits.

Unlike traditional dynamics processors that change the gain on every sample, MDrumLeveler detects events such as drum hits and adjusts their level without altering the actual sound or colour, delivering highly transparent results. This lets you even out hit levels, remove leakage from other instruments and ambience between hits, and shape the body and release of each hit directly. Among other settings, the detector can be tuned to the drum you want using two parallel resonant band-pass filters. By default the plug-in looks 20 ms ahead, but in most cases values below 5 ms still work, making it suitable for live use.
