An earthy, dark and cinematic virtual instrument that reshapes over 50 rare instrument sources from Andean and Mesoamerican cultures into unusual, inspiring new sounds.

Inspired by the Mayan god of mountains and earthquakes, Caprakan joins Huracan in exploring an alternate reality in which the cultures of Central and South America, untouched by colonialism, kept developing their instruments into an entirely individual style of electronic music tools. Drawing on Mntra’s experience creating award-winning sound worlds for AAA video games, it offers an all-inclusive sound palette covering every layer of a piece: rhythm, melody, harmony, texture and beyond. In the MNDALA 2 engine, a three-axis global control system lets you manipulate countless parameters expressively in real time, creating ever-evolving soundscapes from just one preset. Whether you want quick inspiration from the handcrafted presets or deep sound design down to every element, Caprakan opens up sounds full of life.
