The MF-107S FreqBox re-invents Moog Music’s classic MF-107 pedal as a plug-in – an unconventional, eccentric effect delivering gnarly synced VCO sounds plus envelope and FM modulation.

Introduced in 2007, the MF-107 combined several complete modular synth functions: a voltage-controlled oscillator with variable waveshape that can be hard synced and frequency modulated by the audio input, and an envelope follower that lets the dynamics of the input modulate the VCO frequency; the VCO amplitude also followed the input dynamics, and the VCO could be mixed with the input signal. As a direct descendant of the original Moog modular synthesizers, it processes guitar, voice, synthesizer and any other audio source. The MF-107S meticulously captures the jagged, freaky sounds and the organic interaction of the controls, turning any signal into an audio-reactive synthesizer voice with classic hard sync and FM tones. New additions include two independent left and right oscillators for stereo syncing, a choice of whether the envelope follower controls frequency and level or frequency only, and attenuatable CV inputs for oscillator frequency, waveform, envelope amount, FM amount and mix.
