A tool for quickly and impartially comparing multiple pieces of audio, such as different takes, mix revisions, versions of a master or plug-in options.

AB Assist 2 receives up to four audio sources and compares stereo and surround mixes in any channel count, with multiple plug-in instances communicating directly instead of using an external send. Auto level matching aligns the short-term loudness (LUFS) of the sources so that volume differences do not bias your judgement, and smooth fades ensure clean transitions. In test mode the channels are labelled randomly for blind tests that remove subjectivity and bias, and a mono check additionally compares the mono fold-down.
