The Parai is heard at temple festivals, ceremonial gatherings, folk performances and festival street processions; the kit was recorded by nine musicians. Deep, resonant strikes and aggressive stick articulations give it a raw, primal energy for modern productions. 333 tempo-synced loops and fills plus 424 one-shots with velocity layers and round robins can be played as solo, duo or full-ensemble kits, and you set the balance between close and ambient microphones yourself.
