It draws on the celebration and street performance traditions of these two South Indian states, centred on the Dappu frame drum; the manufacturer also calls the kit Conga-Dappu. Loops sit on the lower octaves and velocity-sensitive one-shots on the upper keys, so you can play foundational patterns and your own fills at the same time.
