This bundle contains the three temple percussion kits Pancha Vadhyam, Chenda Melam and Kailaya Vathiyam as playable expansions for the Sonic Atlas sampler.

All three ceremonial ensembles are built around escalation: a slow opening pulse doubles in speed stage by stage until the full group is playing flat out – the same shape as a trailer cue, a film climax or a drop. The kits were recorded by a total of 40 musicians who have played this music their whole lives. Pancha Vadhyam and Chenda Melam come from Kerala and Kailaya Vathiyam from Tamil Nadu; all three can be played as full-ensemble, duo and solo kits, with one-shots recorded through close and ambient microphones.
