The Kailaya Vathiyam Kit brings the deep barrel drum of Tamil Nadu’s temple ceremonies into the Sonic Atlas sampler as a playable expansion.

This music is performed during processions, festivals and large public gatherings. Deep goat-skin resonance, heavy low-end weight and call-and-response phrasing between lead and ensemble bring ceremonial power to modern productions. The kit was recorded with 13 temple percussionists, first as a full group, then in duos and as single takes across every tempo stage.
