The Dholak-Tabla Kit puts the dholak’s bouncy beat together with the tabla’s clean, sharp hits – the groove you hear in folk songs, wedding songs, ghazals and qawwalis.

The dholak gives the bounce: a deep low side that bends in pitch when pressed with the palm, and a bright, snappy high side. The tabla gives the detail with sharp hits, rolls and fast fills. These small touches make a groove feel human and are very hard to copy with programmed drums – here, real players did it for you. The kit contains 1,587 loops and one-shots. It runs in Sonic Atlas, the sampler platform by Pitch Innovations, which is included free with every purchase.
