Log Drum is a virtual instrument with 100 presets that delivers the signature log drum bass of amapiano and Afrobeats as well as the sound of the traditional slit drum.

The name log drum originally refers to a traditional slit drum from Africa, South Asia and Oceania, but in today’s African music it also describes the bass sound of amapiano and Afrobeats: a strong low end comparable to an 808 bass, with a percussive attack and usually short sustain. The 100 presets are arranged in four categories – Basic with 36 log drum basses, Evolved with 36 variations developed through sound design, effects, textures and layering, Real with 15 playable slit drums and Sub with 13 sounds without a percussive attack, for example to layer a sub bass. ADSR, filters, EQ, glide, stereo width and a step sequencer plus saturation, distortion, reverb and delay let you shape your own sounds.
