A semi-modular delay based on the PSP 84/85 that explores the possibilities of variable sample rate delay lines.

PSP 285 produces an extremely wide variety of delay-based effects – from simple slapbacks and echoes to complex rhythmic patterns, from faithful magnetic tape delay simulations to twisted pitch-shifting and resonant filtering effects. Each channel offers up to 10 seconds of delay (pre plus main), depending on the internal sampling frequency. Cross-channel feedback, delay gating, wet signal ducking and stereo or mid/side operation provide plenty of control, while a modulation section mixes a tempo-synced LFO and an envelope follower in any proportion.
