The second volume of the Master Studio Collection from OMI’s Universe of Sounds series brings pianos, guitars, percussion, world instruments and much more, originally created for the Emu EIII sampler, to Native Instruments Kontakt.

The original samples were created and programmed by OMI’s sound department, Reflective Arts, namely Douglas Morton, David Hannibal and Steve Boeddeker, and the Kontakt version was programmed by Michael Scott Struble and Douglas Morton. Volume 2 is organised into keyboards such as B3 with Leslie, grand piano, church organ and harpsichord, strings from basses to violins with pizzicato, tremolo and spiccato, basses, guitars such as Martin and nylon-string guitar, world instruments including didgeridoo, koto, sitar, tablas, taiko and Tibetan bowls, plus zither, harp, voices and choirs, drums and percussion, gamelan, waterphone, orchestral sounds and ambiences. Many sounds come in several variations such as Main, Slow Pad, Wet Dynamic or Filt Sweep, complemented by multis such as HorrorFilm, TaikoBodhran and Piano Strings. All samples are provided in stereo and mono at 16-bit/44 kHz.
